The day started with our chartered plane conveniently landing on their 5,800 foot runway. We then proceeded to receive a tour of the property with our guide Tony Harden. He was awesome! He allowed us to hand feed giraffes, zebras, Watusis, and a hundred other animals of which I’ve unfortunately forgotten the names of!

After the tour, we were taken to a firing range and shot their 50 caliber Barrett. This was the most powerful gun any of us had ever shot. It was so powerful that it shook the table and everything around it! Mr. Oxley, the ranch owner, was kind enough to come down and greet us as well as thank us for our business.

After a delicious lunch catered by their in-house chef Eric, our team headed off to jet ski and swim around one of their waterfalls. To finish off the evening our tour guide Tony took us hog hunting with night vision goggles. Let me tell you, if you’ve never done this, you’re in for a big treat! I had no idea what was in store for us!  With a totally blacked out truck, we raced up and down mountains with only our goggles to guide us vision wise! We ended up netting 4 big Texas-sized hogs that night.

It was the best corporate retreat I’ve ever been on, and we’ll be sure to be back next year. Our thanks to Mr. Oxley and the whole team at Ox Ranch for their kindness and hospitality.
